Project Background
LocalHealthLink is a website dedicated to connecting consumers with therapists across the Delaware Valley. Looking at existing solutions for a therapist directory, Bokenkamp determined that a significant gap existing between what consumers wanted and what opportunities were present in the marketplace
Solutions
We conducted significant market research to determine customer perceptions of existing therepist directories, including:
- focus groups
- one-on-one interviews
- online surveys
- perception mapping using regression and factor analysis
We also built multiple prototypes and tested them on users to determine product capability and key features.
Finally, we built a state-of-the-art heuristic algorithm to perform Internet searches and match names of therapists from a variety of different databases. With 99.5% accuracy, our application can match Jim Smith PhD at 22nd & Market with Dr. James Smith at 2201 Market Street.
